Six awesome snacks on the beach will make your day a perfect beach day. We know we’ve got it good at Tuckaway Shores Resort. We love our unspoiled beach and heated swimming pool and are even happier to share them with our guests.
The residents of the Melbourne Beach community care about each other and they care about their natural resources, which is why our Old Florida charm is like our best-kept secret. While some vacationers flock to bustling oceanfronts with high rises, we love our secluded beach.
While you are splashing in the surf and lounging by our pool, you’ll want to maintain your energy. Here are six perfect snacks to pack in your beach bag for a day spent along the water:
Frozen Fruit: Pack some frozen berries, banana slices or grapes in your beach bag. They’ll taste like candy even though they’re super nutritious and provide a cooling burst of flavor.
Edamame: We loved Food Network’s idea of packing frozen edamame for a fiber and protein-dense snack.
Granola Bars: There are so many different varieties of healthy granola bars to choose from, but you could also make your own. We were impressed with this recipe for no-bake bars you could easily prepare in your kitchenette.
Wraps: Assemble your own wraps with your favorite spreads or deli meats, pack them in foil, and place them in a cooler or insulated lunch bag. You’ll appreciate how they don’t get soggy.
Peanut Butter & Celery: Pack some peanut butter into the bottom of a jar and add celery sticks for a portable snack. This will give you enough sustenance to continue splashing away by the water.
Infused Water: Don’t forget to stay hydrated while you are outside! Water infused with fruits and cucumber is refreshing to the body and palate. Celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver has a great recipe that incorporates both.
